A Couple of Creations!

I think I feel like I haven't been creating anything because I am working on two "secret" projects that are gifts and cannot post them until the recepients receive them. But I finally did some sewing today that I can post and they were so much fun to do. These little burp pads will be a gift, too, but the recepient does not see my blog. I love the baby blue and chocolate brown together and how the pattern shows the little dog wagging his tail. Tomorrow I will be back on my "secret" projects!

Those are really cute! I love the doggie. What did you use for the base of your burp pads? I have used cloth diapers before but would love to find colors-esp. blue!

Love the dog. I might have to do one of these also. Know someone who might like this.

The blue one and white one are both diapers. I found navy blue, light blue, hot pink and baby pink diapers at Target and bought a pack of each a few months ago. Each pack comes with the two colors or blue and two colors of pink. The dog is one of the Baby Minkee applique patterns. This is the first time I've done the dog. Thank you, everybody. It was fun to get back to creating something for little ones! I did this for someone else to give as a gift.

Do you use a pattern or do you make up your own?

My machine did the applique of the dog. It is a set of patterns of animals but you do have to set it up on your computer and send the design to your sewing machine, choose your colors, place and cut fabric, etc. Maybe next time you're here, I can show you how it's done. It's amazing and fun. There are people who digitize their own designs but I don't know how to do that.
