Well, my mother is in ICU at the hospital where she lives. My brother and I took her to the ER Tues nite and it took about 8 hrs. to get her stable enough to put her in ICU. She's been there two days now. She has congestive heart failue, COPD, and rheumatoid arthritis but her main problems are her heart and lungs right now. So my life is concentrating completely on her and my family right now. All the siblings are here. We just live from visit to visit. As you all probably know, they have limited visiting hrs. Will get back to this when I can.
I was going to come and nag you about the big May 1 surprise, but then I read your comments. So sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts are with you.
Thank you so much. She could possibly be moved from the hospital to a rehab facility tomorrow. We hope so. I think she's getting just as stir crazy as we are looking at those four walls in the hospital room. But she is much improved and we've found a good, bright, active, cheery place for her to go next and be well taken care of which is a relief. In fact, when I saw their activity calendar and just caught a glimpse of one activity, decorating flip flops, I told my sister I would like to do that! ha!
Well, it's been a long time for me and the blogging world but I'm trying to get back. My mother sadly passed away on June 11th. So my life is and has been filled with making plans for her memorial service, the service itself and now going thru her things in her house and getting all of it cleaned out and ready for sale. As many of you who might have been thru this experience before, this is quite a job. We are almost through and I am SO ready to come back to my blogging friends and still have a "surprise" to be "revealed". I've missed all of you and have started to visit your blogs again. You're such good, patient friends. I really miss my mother. She is the reason I am so interested in sewing and creative endeavors. She was a wonderful seamstress and a very creative person, the most patient person I've ever known in my life. I can't say enough good about her. I was so lucky to have a mother like her. I treasure all the things I have now that she made<3
